New Programs of Research and Scholarly Excellence

Distinction and standard for excellence

The Programs of Research and Scholarly Excellence at Colorado State University were initiated in 1991 to recognize those areas within the university that have achieved great distinction and set a standard for excellence. Programs are selected after an extensive nomination and review process that takes place every four years.

Programs selected for the next four years

Provost and Senior Executive Vice President Tony Frank has announced that the university has completed review of the 2008 applicants, and the following programs have been selected as Programs of Research and Scholarly Excellence for the next four years:

-     Center for Extreme Ultraviolet Science and Technology

-     Center for Research on Communication and Technology

-     Department of Atmospheric Science

-     Graduate and Research Program in Chemical and Molecular sciences and Technology

-     Occupational Therapy Program

-     Center for Interdisciplinary Mathematics and Statistics

-     Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory

-     Water Resources and Environmental Engineering

-     Musculoskeletal Research

-     Graduate Degree Program in Ecology

-     Graduate and Research Program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

-     Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Neuroscience Program

-     Institute of Applied Prevention Research

-     Center for Meat Safety and Quality

-     Human Performance Clinical/Research Laboratory

-     Wheat Research, Outreach, and Education Program

-     Program in Molecular Plant Biology
