Revolutionary solar-panel technology

The Science Channel on Sunday will broadcast a program featuring Professor W.S. Sampath in the Department of Mechanical Engineering talking about his revolutionary solar-panel technology.

Sampath's research led to the creation of AVA Solar, a private company that expects to start construction this year on a factory in Fort Collins that could employ up to 500 people.

Sampath and officials with AVA Solar appear in the broadcast of "Invention Nation" at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 on Comcast Digital Cable channel 272 in Fort Collins.

The half-hour program will also be rebroadcast at the following times, all MST:

March 24, 8:30 p.m.

March 25, 11:30 p.m.
